Reunion Independence Course

Reunion Resort & Club is being called “America’s new breed of family resort town.” Named for its relaxed, laid-back atmosphere of small town U.S.A., Reunion blends recreation and entertainment to create an authentic family vacation experience unmatched by any other Central Florida destination resort.

Reunion’s recreational focal point is its golf club that presently includes two signature courses, the 7,147-yard Independence Course designed by Tom Watson and Arnold Palmer’s 6,876-yard Legacy Course. The Tradition Course, a Jack Nicklaus-signature design, will open in 2006.

Reunion Resort and Club

Reunion was envisioned and developed to be a place where families could come together to spend time with one another, relax and enjoy life.

I envisioned Reunion years ago when I would travel to Orlando with my children who were young at the time. We would stay in a standard hotel room, that never had enough space, and there weren’t enough activities to keep the adults and the kids happy at the resort.

My goal in developing Reunion was to create a place for families to have ample space and with a host of amenities and services, so you never have to leave Reunion.

Utilizing a combination of naturally rolling terrain with mature trees, pristine nature preserve areas and extensive landscaping, the 6,876-yard, Arnold Palmer-designed Legacy Course is destined to become one of the nation’s better resort layouts.

“When you combine an exceptional piece of land and a superb development plan, the Legacy Course is truly a gem,” says Arnold Palmer, whose Palmer Design Company has been involved with more than 350 projects worldwide, with more than 150 golf courses open for play in 36 states and 20 countries.

The first Tom Watson-designed course in Florida, the Independence Course at Reunion Resort & Club is a traditional parkland style layout with a windswept, native look. The undulating terrain, atypical in central Florida, features up 45-foot elevation variations from tee to green. Highlighted by fast, firm and wide rolling fairways, a variety of strategically placed bunkers and large greens, the 7,147-yard Independence Course is as much about strategy as it is about length.

Discovery Package

If it seems like an eternity since you last enjoyed the sunny outdoors, then now is the time to run away to the land of endless summer—Orlando, Florida. The Reunion Get Away Package is a personal invitation for you to toss aside your cares and escape to a place where you can bask in incredible weather and enjoy theme parks, attractions and shopping.

Just as important, this is your opportunity to experience the Reunion lifestyle first hand and discover for yourself the wealth of exciting amenities we have planned.
